SILENT DEATH IN SUDAN – Who is paying attention?

The greatest humanitarian catastrophe of our time is taking place almost without cameras. Since 2023, a brutal civil war has been ravaging Sudan. Infrastructure, medical care and the livelihoods of millions of people have been destroyed.

• 12 million people are fleeing.
• 25 million people are suffering from acute hunger.
• Massive violence is destroying the soul of an entire people.

Hand in Hand Sudan helps where others have had to leave. Originally founded to provide medical aid, our association now provides vital emergency aid through its deep-rooted local networks: we supply people with food and the essentials for survival.

Hand in Hand, Supporting Medical Care in Sudan:
Our long-term projects, launched before the start of the civil war

A lot of people in Khartum and all over Sudan nowadays have no adequate access to medical care. Indeed there are good quality hospitals for the minority of rich people, but most people cannot afford the high financial burden of private health care.

We want to provide a reasonable cost free medical care for these poorly supported people and do so together with our local partner in Khartum, the Imam Fachrudin Charity Organization.
